Manningham Mills batsman Shahid Saleem hit the season's highest individual score of 205 not out as his side took another giant step towards promotion to the JCT 600 Second Teams Division One.
Saleem scored his runs off just 127 balls and hit 11 sixes and 21 fours as he helped his side made 357-5 as they defeated Undercliffe by 128 runs in a match which produced 586 runs for the lost of just eight wickets.
Mills, thanks to Saleem, made 357-5 and Undercliffe replied with 229-3. Jed Dinn (79) and Sofian Khan (69) also enjoyed the batsman friendly conditions at Intake Road.
Mills picked up 16 but are still 32 behind leaders Cleckheaton who beat Morley by six wickets. Chris Dobson made 55 as they comfortably overhauled Morley's total of 112 all out. Andy Porritt was Cleckheaton's most successful bowler with four for 24.
Idle moved up to fourth-place with a thrilling one-wicket win over Bankfoot. Their last-wicket pair of Paul HowKer and Shane Marshall share an unbroken stand of 17 to see them home after Gavin Lyons (59), Mick Birts (32) and Andy Cookland (31) had spearhead the run chase. Cookland had earlier taken six for 39 as Bankfoot made 213. Faisal Rajput top scored with 39 while Ben Tootell made 31.
Great Horton recaptured third place after defeating Spen Victoria by 100 runs. Ijaz Ahmed hit 56 and Zabir Ashraf (54) as Great Horton made 214-9. Spen were dismissed for 114 with Jamil Akhtar taking four for 28.
Bottom team Hartshead Moor recorded only their fourth win of the season as they beat Windhill by 108 runs. Mark Baldwin struck two sixes and 14 fours in a fine 109 while Helen Wardlaw hit 37 as Hartshead Moor compiled a score of 217. Phil Drake (6-50) and Dave Pearce (4-30) shared the wickets. Windhill were dismissed for 109 with Jeff Wind claiming four for 22 and Wardlaw (4-30).
Division One leaders Lightcliffe ended their three-match losing streak by defeating Bowling Old Lane by 72 runs to consolidate their position. Skipper Gareth Stevens (46no), Tom Garringe (39) and Bruce Lunn (34) helped Lightcliffe post a score of 223-9 despite some fine bowling from Khalid Rehman (7-56).
Old Lane faltered after skipper Haqueq Siddique made 42 and were dismissed for 151. Adil Ladak (3-46) and Richard Tesseyman (3-58) did the damage.
Yeadon gained an important pyschological advantage ahead of today's Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield semi-final against east Bierley by defeating them by four-wickets to recapture second place.
Nick Darfield (3-19), Jonathan Carey (3-21) and Richard Machell (3-26) dismissed East Bierley for 97. Gareth Davis (40) was the only batsman to offer prolonged resistance.
Yeadon found runscoring equally difficult as John Glover took four for 31 but they eased home with Darren Machell top scoring with 28.
Fourth-placed Hanging Heaton are just a point adrift of East Bierley. They defeated Baildon by five-wickets with Michael Smith (45no) steering them past the Baildon total of 171-8. Umar Rehman (4-41) and Pete Byrne (3-47) were Hanging Heaton's best bowlers.
Pudsey St Lawrence are now occupying the second relegation spot after losing the Pudsey derby by eight wickets. Opener Phil Allinson hit 21 fours in an unbeaten 104 as Congs stormed to victory. he shared an opening stand of 164 with Warren Allitt (59) .Skipper James Milligan (57) and Hans Bandawana (52) had top scored in St Lawrence's total of 223.
Farsley are just three points ahead of St Lawrence after suffering a 34-run defeat against fellow strugglers Esholt. Jason Wilkinson top scored with 70 as Esholt made 228-8, then Stef Garbus (3-38) and Stuart Houlbrook (3-52) bowled their side to victory by dismissing Farsley for 194. Number 10 batsman Adam Walker top scored with 39not out.
Woodlands gained revenge for their Crowther Cup defeat last Sunday by turning the tables on Keighley in league combat. Woodlands won a thrilling contest by five runs with Michael Pearson (4-57) and Joel Metcalfe (3-40) sealing their success.
Woodlands batted first and were dismissed for 175. Keith Robson top scored with 31 while Rob French (3-33) was Keighley's most successful bowler. Veteran opener Alan broadley was again in good form with 51 for Keighley but even his efforts were not enough to stave off a narrow defeat.
Gomersal remain rooted to the bottom after a46-run defeat by Saltaire. Awais Ijaz (61) and Gunasari Ambepitiya (40) helped Saltaire to a total of 174 despite the efforts of Steve Pollard (5-45) and Matthew Hurst (4-36).
Gomersal's batting again failed to fire and they were dismissed for 128 and Ambepitiya crowned a good all-round display by taking five for ten.
