Clubs will be asked to decide on Brighouse's membership of the JCT 600 Bradford League at an Extraordinary General Meeting next month.
The Management Board took the decision to call for the vote after accusing the club of bringing the competition into serious disrepute.
The EGM will take place immediately prior to the Annual General Meeting at Pudsey Congs on Thursday, November 13.
Chief Executive Bob Shackleton sent out a letter of notification to clubs and detailed the actions which had led to the disrepute charge.
These included:
*Non-fulfilment of a second team fixture with Morley which seriously compromised the Second Teams Division Two championship
*Failing to rearrange a fixture with Bankfoot's second team which clashed with a hockey tournament on their ground
*Approaching another league without permission to do so.
*Playing
four players without registering them first
*Failing to field a full team on eight occasions (four first team and four second team)
*On four more occasions the first team conceded their last wicket and therefore gave a point to their opponents.
*Contravention of ECB regulations by twice selecting an under-11 in senior cricket.
Brighouse will be given the opportunity to respond to the charges at the EGM before the vote takes place. A simple majority will decide their fate.
Clubs who have not received their notification of the EGM should contact Chief Executive Bob Shackle ton. |
