From the committees of Tong Park CC and Esholt CC

The committees of Tong Park CC and Esholt CC are pleased to announce that a merger of Esholt CC with Tong Park CC has tonight been agreed. A special committee from both clubs has been formed to finalise the details of the merger.

The two clubs believe that by merging they are forming a club with the size and stature to compete with any club in the area. They also believe that by merging they are safeguarding cricket at both Low Springs, Tong Park and Esholt Lane, Esholt.

The merged club will have a better infrastructure and larger team of dedicated individuals to run the club.

The officials of the merged club now intends to discuss its plans and future intentions with the Airedale & Wharfedale and JCT 600 Bradford Leagues.

Officials of Esholt and Tong Park believe that the decision to merge is the correct one in order to ensure the long term future of cricket at both Esholt and Tong Park

First and second team cricket will be played at Esholt Lane with third and possibly fourth team cricket being played at Low Springs.
