Lightcliffe has been selected as the venue for the JCT 600 Bradford League's White Rose Trophy first round tie against the Halifax League on May 11.
The choice of Lightcliffe is a deserved reward for the Division Two club and their hard-working officials.
Lightcliffe is also easily accessible for the Halifax team and their supporters. JCT 600 Bradford League chairman Graham Reid said: "It is always our policy, wherever possible, to select a ground which is as near as possible for our opponents.
"Lightcliffe is an ideal choice and we look forward to taking the game there as the ground is a perfect stage for a match like this."
The draw for this season's competition throws up the prospect of the Bradford side having home ties all the way through if they are successful.
As a consequence of this the Management Board have selected provisional venues for the second and third rounds.
If Bradford beat the Halifax League the second round clash against either the holders Aire-Wharfe or the Yorkshire League will be staged at Farsley on June 8.
Saltaire has been identified as the venue for a semi-final on Sunday, July 7 if Bradford make it that far in the competition. |
