Holders Pudsey Congs and champions Woodlands were both knocked out and Division One leaders Bradford & Bingley were given an almighty scare on a dramatic day of cup action.
Farsley produced the upset of the day. Their last wicket pair of James Lee and Robert Thornton shared an unbroken stand of 73 as they clawed their way back from the brink of defeat to defeat Pudsey Congs by one wicket.
When Farsley plunged to 111-9 in reply to Pudsey Congs' score of 181-9 even their most optimistic of followers wouldn't have bet on them winning, but Yorkshire paceman James Lee was in no mood to throw in the towel.
He seized the initiative by takin g the attack to the bowlers. He struck a six and 12 fours in a stunning knock of 74 not out and gained resolute support from Robert Thornton (14no) as the game was turned on its head.
Skipper Matthew Doidge, who was part of the last Farsley side to win the Priestley Cup back in 1995, was the most successful Congs bowler with four for 36.
Teenage batsman Callum Oliver made the most of his first team opportunity by top scoring with 55 for Congs. Adam Patel (47) was the other major contributor while Chris Henry (3-29) and Joe Greaves (3-38) proved to be Farsley's best bowlers.
Woodlands, who have featured in five of the last six finals, bowed out against East Bierley by 39 runs. Scotland skipper Gavin Hamilton put his side on course for victory with 60 as East Bierley posted an impressive 270-6. Steve Simpson (45no), Lee Goddard (39) and Kez Ahmed (32) all made valuable contributions.
Woodlands found themselves unable to keep up with the required rate. Skipper Tim Orrell (59), Umar Salim (41) and Scott Richardson (40) tried to force the pace but left arm spinner Luke Jarvis (4-25) and Mohammad Azhar-Ullah (3-42) ensured that Woodlands were dismissed for 231.
Division Two leaders Bankfoot lost by just two runs at Bradford & Bingley. The highlight of the match was a second century of the weekend for their talented 18-year-old batsman Marcus Walmsley. He struck a six and 11 fours as he spearheaded Bankfoot's bid to cause an upset.
John Barton (34) also weighed in with valuable runs, but with three runs needed from the last two balls, the wily Richard McCarthy dismissed Nigel Hanson to secure victory.
Off spinner Matthew Cockshott (3-30) and James Davies (3-42) were the best of the Bradford & Bingley bowlers. Earlier, Davies had made a valuable 41 as he and Chris Thompson (50) ensured Bradford & Bingley posted a total of 192 after an uncertain start. Greg Colehan (3-28) and left-arm spinner Andrew Deegan (3-42) bowled well for Bankfoot.
An unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 102 by Fizal Butt (72no) and Dan Shuffe (51no) enabled Yeadon to defeat Morley by seven wickets to clinch a place in the semi-final.
Yeadon had been given a fight when they lost two wickets in the first over of their innings when they replied to Morley's total of 163-9. Kiwi Tom Johnston took three for 24 as Morley were kept in check.
