Hartshead Moor fly Division Two flag in semi-finals

Second Division side Hartshead Moor will line up with holders East Bierley, Hanging Heaton and Pudsey St Lawrence in the semi-finals.

They clinched their place in the last four with a 30-run win over Division One side Morley. Their prospects didn't look too good when they were dismissed for 116, but they hit back to bowl out Morley for 86 with Joel Barnett taking three for 17 and Louis Brooke (3-13).

Holders East Bierley made quick work of beating Pudsey Congs. They dismissed their rivals for just 79 with skipper Matthew Anderson taking three for 17 and Chris Brook (3-22). Leigh Abbott made an unbeaten 47 as East Bierley eased to an eight-wicket success.

Both Hanging Heaton and Pudsey St Lawrence piled up the runs as they secured their places in the last four.

Hanging Heaton made 328-4 against Windhill with Michael Royce making a superb 128. Howard Ellis (70), Michael Smith (56) and Chris Goodair (51) all chipped in with runs.

Tony Jones took three for 54 for Windhill and followed up by top scoring with 53 as Windhill replied with 232-9. Brothers Nabeel Hafeez (3-43) and Adeel Hafeez (3-58) were the best Hanging Heaton bowlers.

Division One leaders Pudsey St Lawrence made 305 all out as they defeated Lightcliffe by 85 runs. Dave Hester(74), Phil Wilson (58) and Chris Sharkey (50) all made half-centuries. Lightcliffe made 220 in reply to lose ny 85 runs. Robert Crookes (57) and Dave Knight (53) were Lightcliffe's top scorers.
