Farsley go third after defeating Yeadon

Division One

Fast-improving Farsley climbed into third place after inflicting a six-wicket defeat on title hopefuls Yeadon.

The result drops Yeadon from second to fourth and they paid a heavy price for a dismal batting performance as they were skittled out for 112 by Christian Horner (5-18) and Jimmy Higgins (3-29). Farsley eased to their victory target with little trouble.

Hanging Heaton are now second. They beat Baildon by seven wickets and now have 168 points, 11 more than Farsley and a further three more than Yeadon.

Spinner Umar Rehman continued his good form with three for 27 as Baildon, despite the good work of Tom Foster (56) and Kieran Morton (35) were dismissed for 154. Nabeel Hafeez led Hanging Heaton to their victory target by making.

Pudsey St lawrence extended their lead by taking maximum points as they beat Cleckheaton by 119 runs. Duncan Butler (61), Phil Wilson 45, Cameron Roy 43, and Chris Sharkey (38no), took them to a total of 270-9. Cleckheaton - despite 52 from skipper Ross Noble - were dismissed for 151 with young spinner Adam Hopkins taking four for 39 and Sharkey (3-30).

Fifth-placed Bowling Old Lane scored a thrilling two-wicket win over Undercliffe. They overhauled a total of 232-6 with eight balls to spare thanks to Khalid Rehman (62), Haroon Mehrban (40no) and Talat Sajawal (38no).

Two old campaigners, Chris Burns and Russell Heritage were the outstanding performers for Undercliffe. Burns top-scored with 94 not out while Heritage made 39 and followed up by taking four for 63 with his teasing left-arm spin.

Pudsey Congs gained a welcome win but still remain in the relegation zone. Paceman Josh Tingle, dropped from the first team, took four for 31 as they dismissed Morley for 130 before edging home by three wickets. James Bragg (39) and Calum Oliver (31) were their top scorers.

Teenage off spinner Chris Walker (4-9) and Phil Higgins (4-24) combined forces as Woodlands dismissed Keighley for 75 to secure a 96-run win. Woodlands had earlier been forced to battle hard to make 171-9 against the bowling of Jason Perry (4-26) and Ashley Robinson (3-56).

Division Two

Joe Ollerenshaw blasted an impressive 181 as Windhill defeated Idle by 168 runs and leapt from third to first in the table.

Thanks to Ollerenshaw, who hit nine sixes and 22 fours, Windhill piled up a massive 350-4 with Richard Clow (52no) and Tahir Amin (51) getting in on the fun. Idle, despite 44 from Andy Kemp, were bowled out for 182.

Windhill's maximum-points haul enabled them to leap-frog Bradford & Bingley and Spen Victoria who were both beaten.

Bruce Lunn made 86 and skipper Gareth Stevens (49) as Lightcliffe inflicted a six-wicket defeat on Bradford & Bingley. They ensured that the good bowling of James Godden (5-45) and Aleem Ladak (4-18) didn't go to waste.

Thanks to Godden and Ladak, Bradford & Bingley were dismissed for 186, a total built around the contributions of Adam Swallow (70), Danny Trowers (46) and Michael Clarke (33)

Nadeem Ghalib (53), Syed Hashmi (49), Adnan Mahmood (38no) and Mohammad Faisal (34) enabled Mills to overcome a Spen Victoria score of 216-7 and secure a three-wicket win. George Deegan (67), Adam Brown (54), and Derek Warriner (39) were Spen's top scorers.

A devastating spell fo six for 19 from teenage bowler Govinder Bargota saw Saltaire dismissed Brighouse for 91. Gary Sagar (49) dominated the Brighouse innings just as Amarpaul Sarai (39) did the Saltaire reply as they secured a five-wicket win.

Hartshead Moor - semi-finalists in the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield - collected maximum points as they beat Bankfoot by 121 runs. Chris Thornton top scored with 53 in a Hartshead Moor total of 248. Bankfoot were dismissed for 127

Shabir Ellahi took five for 32 as Great Horton beat Gomersal by 32 runs. Thanks to Ellahi, Great Horton dismissed Gomersal for 115 in reply to their score of 147 all out. Zubair Ashraf (53) top scored for Great Horton.
