Division One

Last season's Division Two champions Morley are certainly proving themselves to be a real surprise package.

They made it four wins in five games as they inflicted a first defeat of the season on Pudsey St Lawrence at Tofts Road.

All-rounder Richard Winn was Morley's match-winner blasting an unbeaten 78 after earlier taking three for 50 as St Lawrence were restricted to 200-9. Winn gained good support from Matthew Green who continued his bright start for the club with 59.

Despite their defeat, St Lawrence remain in second place, two points ahead of Morley and four adrift of Yeadon who were thwarted by the weather.

After dismissing Bowling Old Lane for 131 with Steve Gilks taking three for 26 and Oliver Halliday (3-37), Yeadon saw seven over shaved off their reply by rain. It was to prove crucial because they finished on 130-7 and had to settle for eight points from an incomplete match.

Champions East Bierley appear to be clicking in to form. They secured maximum batting points after reaching 234-7 with youngsters Scott Douglas (50) and Liam Walsh (41) leading the way. Hanging Heaton replied with 158-9 after strong resistance from their tail end batsmen, but they could not deny East Bierley a 76-run win.

Pudsey Congs and Cleckheaton both notched up their first wins of the campaign. Callum Oliver (3-31) and Mike Oldfield (3-40) helped dismiss Baildon for 123, then Paul Slater hit and unbeaten 53 and James Bragg (39) to steer their side home to a five-wicket success.

Cleckheaton open their account by inflicting a fifth-straight defeat on Keighley. Masaver Massadique (53) and Craig Blackburn (50) guided Cleckheaton to 148 all out and they followed up by dismissing Keighley for 121.

Young Joe Greaves made an unbeaten 75 and he and Matthew Green (44) steered Farsley to a six-wicket success over Undercliffe. The win was set up by Jimmy Higgins who took five for 38 as Undercliffe were restricted to 167-8

Division Two

Lightcliffe continued to set the pace with a four-wicket win over Windhill. Opener Michael Brooke hit an unbeaten 91 and Steve Hartley (44) as Lightcliffe passed Windhill's score of 200-9declared to notch a fifth win in five starts.

Second-placed Spen Victoria bounced back from their defeat at Windhill last week by defeating Idle by seven wickets. Adam Brown took five for 30 as Idle were dismissed for 114 and he followed up by hitting 38 as Spen triumphed.

Third-placed Saltaire had a tense two-run win over Manningham Mills. They made 182-6 batting first thanks to Joe Hicks (52) and Usman Arshad (37) Mills, despite a fine unbeaten 92 from Zufar Mahmppd, fell agonisingly just short of their target, finishing on 180-6.

Bradford & Bingley had the Clarke boys to thank for their seven-wicket win over Great Horton. Michael Clarke took six for 13 as Great Horton - despite 67 from Zubair Ashraf, were dismissed for 117. Andrew Clarke hit 57 as Bradford & Bingley secured victory.

Old stagers Andrew Halford (5-30) and Jeff Wind (4-20) set up Hartshead moor's seven-wicket win over Brighouse. Brighouse wer dismissed for 76 and Hartshead Moor cruised home with Joel Barnett unbeaten on 37.

The match between Bankfoot and Gomersal was abandoned shortly after tea with Bankfoot 6-0 in reply to Gomersal's all out total of 179.
