Division One leaders Pudsey St Lawrence scored a thrilling one-wicket win over plucky Saltaire in their delayed second round tie.

Skipper James Milligan (124) spearheaded a successful run chase which saw St Lawrence pass the Saltaire total of 230-3 with their last-wicket pair at the wicket.

Second Division Saltaire could be proud of their effort and nobody moreso than Tom Forster who hit an unbeaten 110. Adam Butt chipped in with 53 while Usman Munir made 42not out.

Holders East Bierley won a high-scoring encounter at Woodlands. Bierley, aiming to win the trophy for a fourth successive season, made a mammoth 359-4 with opener Arron Brook hitting a sparkling 154. Liam Walsh (65), Tom Owens (52) and Leigh Abbott (45) all made good contributions.

When Woodlands replied two of their teenage batsmen, Adam Wood and Tom Smallwood caught the eye. Both are members of Bradford's Joe Lumb squad and showed just why. Wood stroked an unbeaten 101 while Smallwood made 75.

Woodlands finished on 239-5 to lose by 120 runs, but the sight of their two young batsmen playing well, softened the blow.

Second Division promotion chasers Windhill claimed a Division One scalp when they defeated Farsley by six wickets.

The evergreen Dave Pearce continued his run of success by taking four for 33 as Farsley were dismissed for 187. Jimmy Higgins (47) and Nigel Thornton (45) were their main contributors.

Windhill raced to victory with 18.4 overs to spare as Richard Clow made 52 not out, Tony Jones (41no) and Jack Holland (34). The versatile Matthew Green was Farsley's best bowler with three for 39.

All five ties that started on the original second rounbd date had to be decided by bowl outs - the first time they have been used in the competition.

Just 98 overs were possible in the five ties as heavy rain played havoc with the second round.

Bradford & Bingley were going well at 115-4 in 23 overs against Morley thanks to the efforts of Andrew Clarke (47) and Michael Clarke (46), but the visitors won the bowl out 1-0.

Hanging Heaton had Spen Victoria in trouble at 74-6 after 25 overs when their game was called off. They went on to win the bowl out 2-1.

Division Two leaders Lightcliffe were struggling on 76-4 at Undercliffe, but after rain halted play, they won the bowl out 2-1.

Gomersal were 48-3 after nine overs when play was halted against Hartshead Moor who went on to win the bowl out 1-0.

The bowl out in the match between Pudsey Congs and Yeadon has been put off until Saturday because conditions were deemed unsafe for it to be staged. In the eight over of play that was possible Congs had made 31-1.

There was no play in the game between Woodlands and East Bierley so the tie will be played on May 31.
