Yeadon chop down Woodlands to close the gap

Division One

With Pudsey St Lawrence without a game, Yeadon took their chance to reduce their lead to three points.

Yeadon were team in a hurry. They dismissed Woodlands for just 82 as they secured a six-wicket win. Oliver Halliday took six for 33 for Yeadon who reuced Woodlands to 20-8 at one point.

Third-placed Morley were pipped by seven runs at Bowling Old Lane. Riaqat Ali (40) was the top scorer in an Old Lane total of 192-7, while Ash Daley (3-44) was the pick of the Morley bowlers. Ryan Dowse (55) and Andy Hayward (44) battled hard for Morley but their side were dismissed for 185 as Faisal Hussain took four for 26.

Hanging heaton are just two points adrift of Morley following a 43-run win over Keighley. Umar Rehman was their match winner. The young spin bowler took six for 30 in 15 overs as Keighley were restricted to 200-8, despite the efforts of Jake Hoyle (58) and Scott Hartley (33). Andrew Nettleton (71no) was the pick of the Hanging Heaton batsmen in a total of 243-8. Dave Lawrence (43), Chris Goodair (37) and Rehman (34) all chipped in with useful runs.

Pudsey Congs eased their relegation fears with a seven-wicket win at Cleckheaton. Phil Allinson hit an unbeaten 86 and Ramandeep Kang (47no) as Congs overhauled a Cleckheaton score of 213 all out in which Chris Dobson made 85 and Craig Blackburn (69). Skipper Michael Oldfield was the best Congs bowlers with four for 58.

Champions East Bierley collected maximum points as they defeated Undercliffe by 106 runs. Gareth Davis (93) and Leigh Abbott (74) led them to a total of 251-5. John Glover took four for 33 as Undercliffe were dismissed for 145..

Teenager Joe Greaves took six for 37 as Farsley dismissed Baildon for 170 to clinch a 15-run win. Komal Singh (47) and Jimmy Higgins (42no) helped Farsley post a total of 185 all out batting first.

Division Two

Windhill's "Golden-Oldie" Dave Pearce took seven for 45 as they defeated Gomersal by five wickets to move into second place. Gomersal, despite 59 from Andy Minnitt, were dismissed for 155. Andy Evans (34) and Derek Wilkinson (33) steered Windhill to their target.

Windhill are 13 points adrift of leaders Lightcliffe who defeated Great Horton by eight wickets. Opener Michael Brooke continued his rich vein of form with 83 while Rick Powe weighed in with an unbeaten 41 as Lightcliffe passed Great Horton's score of 209 - a total which owed much to the efforts of Mohammad Ramzan (64) and Mohammad Daud (57). Steve Whiley was the pick of the bowlers with five for 45.

Spen Victoria dropped from second to fourth after an emphatic six-wicket defeat by Hartshead Moor. Spen were dismissed for 98 as Liam Evans took four for 18 and Louis Brook (4-33)

Bradford & Bingley are third after 159-run win over Bankfoot. Danny Trowers made 79not out as Bradford & Bingley reached 253-9, then Richard Slater took three for 13 as Bankfoot were dismissed for 94.

Saltaire's Adam Butt took five for 27 as they dismissed idle for 87 to clinch a 123-run win. Saj Ali (56) and Usman Munir (39) were the main contributors to Saltaire's score of 210-7.

Half-centuries from Mohammed Faisal (57) and Zaffran Ghaffar (55) enabled Manningham Mills to complete a comfortable eight-wicket win over Brighouse. Syed Hashmi took five for 31 as Brighouse were dismissed for 161.
