Woodlands will face York in the delayed Black Sheep Champions Trophy on Sunday, April 25
The match, which was held over from last season, will be played at East Bierley with a noon start.
This year's Black Sheep Champions Trophy has been reduced from 16 to eight teams.
The competition will now consist of the holders plus the Champions from the following leagues: Aire/Wharfe (Beckwithshaw), Bradford (Baildon), Central Yorkshire (Methley), Huddersfield (Scholes), South Yorkshire (Treeton), York Senior (Woodhouse Grange) and Yorkshire (York).
One other change means that where the holders are also champions of their league, a second team from their league will no longer be invited into the competition.
Instead, one of the champions of the eight leagues that have been removed from the competition will be invited to join the eighth spot.
That rule change could come into force in 2010 if York win the delayed 2009 final.
By reducing the number of teams in the competition the organisers hope to be able to stage their final in August each season.
The draw for this season will be made at a meeting of clubs in February. |
