An end view of the clubhouse

They're raising the roof at Farsley as they give their clubhouse a new look.

Work is now well under way to construct a new pitched roof.

New chairman Dave Storr said: "We simply had no choice but to get on with the work.

"The old flat rook was leaking like a collunder and it wouldn't have lasted another winter."

Club members have been busy raising funds for the works, a recent sponsored walk raised £3,000.

Storr added: "The response of the members has been fantastic and this is just part of our plans to upgrade our facilities at Red Lane.

"We also plan to replace our old scoreboard with an electronic one and we intend installing a wireless network.

"These are changing times for the club and we are sure our visitors will notice a big difference when they come to Red Lane next season."
