Final umpires are named
The JCT 600 Bradford League Umpires Associaition have announced their appointments for this season's finals.
David Barnes and Jim Gomersal will take charge of the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup final at Wagon Lane onb Sunday, July 30.
It will be Gomersal's first cup final while Barnes will be officiating in the shopiece game for the second time.
Two recent cup final umpires have been chosen to take charge of the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield final at Spen Victoria on Sunday, August 9.
Graham Griffiths, who officiated at the 2006 Sovereign Health Care Priestlley Cup final between Woodlands and Bowling Old Lane will be joined by David Godbold who officiated the 2007 clash between Pudsey Congs and Cleckheaton.

League president meets
former Prime Minister
JCT 600 Bradford League president Keith Moss was delighted to persuade former Prime Minister Sir John major to be the guest speaker at last week's 364 Club lunch at Headingley.
Sir John, a noted cricket writer and historian, gave an enthralling speech on his love of cricket.
Afterwards he received a standing ovation from an audience of over 300.
Mr Moss said: "We were truly honoured to have Sir John as the speaker at our seventh 364 Club lunch to honour the memory of Sir Leonard Hutton.
"It was a real treat."
Yorkshire Under-17 women take on Cumbria
The Yorkshire Under-17 ladies are playing Cumbria at Undercliffe on Monday, August 3 (1pm). In their last match at Intake Road, Yorkshire beat Lancashire. Admission is free.
