Woodlands, looking for a fifth title in six seasons, have a slender two-point advantage over last year's Division Two champions Undercliffe with St Lawrence a further three points back.
To cap an eventful day, Undercliffe's former Yorkshire batsman Ashley Metcalfe became the third batsman to complete 15,000 Bradford League runs, when he reached 44 in his innings of 52 against Bankfoot.
Metcalfe and overseas player Nawaz Sardar, who made a fine unbeaten 75, quickened the tempo at just the right time as Undercliffe posted a total of 244-6 after a sluggish start.
Bankfoot, who were promoted with Undercliffe last season, were never in the hunt and were dismissed for 137 with Undercliffe skipper Chris Greenwood taking five for 23 and Shaaiq Choudhry 4-59. It was Undercliffe's fifth victory in their last six matches.
Woodlands were indebted to their two left-handers Chris Brice and Sarfraz Ahmed for dragging them from the depths of 113-7 to build a winning position at Red Lane.

Their middle order had collapsed to the bowling of Joe Greaves (4-75) before Brice and Ahmed shared an unbroken eight-wicket stand of 123. Sarfraz was typically belligerent hitting an unbeaten 66 from just 32 balls which contained six sixes and four fours.
Brice, forsaking his role as the anchorman, also attacked strongly and made an unbeaten 67 from 55 balls with three sixes and four fours. Their counter-attack wrested the initiative from the home side.
Farsley lost early wickets in reply but Lorenzo Ingram (43) and Barry Frankland (39) battled hard and Farsley finished on 213 all out in the final over. Ahmed completed a fine afternoon's work by taking three for 62.
Pudsey Congs underlined their claims as worthy title contenders by defeating St Lawrence comfortably at the Britannia Ground. St Lawrence's batting line-up was restricted to just 165-8 by a fine bowling effort from the Congs which was spearheaded by new boy Alex Hewitt (3-29). Chris Marsden top scored with an unbeaten 38.
Congs cruised to their target in 37.5 overs with opener Gareth Phillips - the former Farsley player - making 73 and Babar Butt (43no). Phillips struck 15 boundaries.
Overseas player Ammar Mahmood hit a sparkling 67 not out and skipper John Wood, a brisk 50, as Cleckheaton cruised to a seven-wicket win at East Bierley. Mahmood hammered a six and 11 fours, while Wood struck ten boundaries as East Bierley's bowlers were put to the sword as they tried to defend a disappointing score of 170 all out.
The victory had been set up by a fine performance in the field. East Bierley had looked set for a formidable score as openers Andrew Rennison (34) and Gharib Razak (34) shared a stand of 72, but once they were parted the home side collapsed dramatically. Five wickets fell for 12 runs as Ian Wood (3-29) and big brother John (2-30) struck.
East Bierley were in deep trouble and could find no way out as their innings finally ended at 170 with left-arm spinner Mark Cummins mopping up the tail with a spell of three for 13.
Champions Baildon continue to falter and may yet be sucked into the relegation fight. They suffered a three-wicket defeat to a Gomersal side also fighting to avoid one of the bottom three places.
All seemed to be going sweetly for Baildon as skipper Ian Philliskirk (52) and Tom Smallwood (54) shared a first wicket stand of 105, but once they were parted the innings faltered. Only Adil Islam (31) of the remaining batsmen made an impression as left-arm spinner Ben Platt (5-71) turned the game.
It looked as if Baildon had put themselves back in the ascendancy when they reduced Gomersal to 83-5, but big-hitting Richard Whitehurst had other ideas. He struck a breezy 45 and after his departure Rob Burton (26no) and Shahzaib Khan (21no) steered their side home with an unbroken partnership of 45.
Bradford & Bingley returned to winning ways against lowly Saltaire. They recorded a 91-run win which owed much to the explosive batting of Chris Thompson. He smashed 70 from 43 balls as Bradford & Bingley made 245-7. Matthew Duce (48) and skipper Phil Slater (36) were the other main contributors.
Saltaire lost wickets steadily and only Waleed Akhtar (36) of the early batsmen made an impression. The margin of Saltaire's defeat would have been greater if it had not been for a last wicket stand between skipper Ijaz Khan (30) and Mohammed Nadeem.
Division Two
Leaders Hanging Heaton opened a 17=point lead s they defeated promotion hopefuls Keighley by 131 runs
Former Indian Test player Vikram Rathore (63), Haroon Rashid (56) and Rob McFarlane (48) powered Hanging Heaton to an impressive 285-8 despite the efforts of Jake Hoyle (5-60).
Keighley were dismissed for 154 with only Imran Patel (30) making an impression as former Yorkshire leg-spinner Mark Lawson took five for 39.

Lightcliffe knocked Hartshead Moor out of second place as they strengthened their promotion push with a 101-run win. Chris Taylor continued his rich vein of form with 76 while Josh Wheatley (52), Sadaqat Zaman (37no) and Jonathan Wilson (37) helped swell the Lightcliffe total to 235-5.
Hartshead Moor's recent good batting form deserted them as they were dismissed for 134 with only Australian Tom Manvell (36) and Joel Pollard (36) able to make an impression as Zaman took three for 50 and Evan Edwards (3-33).
Bowling Old Lane continued their climb up the table by defeating Manningham Mills by five wickets to move into fourth place. Zubair Najeeb took three for 29 and Mubtaba Akhtar (3-41) as Mills, despite 48 from Shahzad Aslam, were bowled out for 143.
Old Lane eased to victory with almost 20 overs to spare as Eshan Ghani (62) and Mapa Bandara (34) ensured there were no slip ups. Zeeshan Qasim took three for 64 for Mills.
The day's only century came at Spen Lane where Adam Brown hit an unbeaten 110 as Spen Victoria defeated Morley by seven wickets to record only their second win of the season.

His runs came off just 74 balls and enabled Spen to pass a Morley total of 217-5 with five overs to spare. Skipper Peter Jackson (36) and Will Smith (32no) were the other main contributors for Spen.
Earlier, former Spen players Adam Larkin (62no) and Danny Lloyd (44) provided the bulk of Morley's runs.
The closes game was at Ewart Street where Windhill edged out Great Horton by two runs. Ahsan Butt made 50 and Awais Ijaz (36no) as Windhill made 180-8 against good bowling from Raheel Ahmed (4-31).
Great Horton, still searching for a first win, fell agonizingly short of their target despite the efforts of Naeem Khan (50) and Ahmed (30no)
Brighouse skipper Paul Cummins was in fine all-round form as his side defeated his former club Idle by 55 runs. Cummins made 75 in his side's innings of 217-3 which was dominated by a superbly 95no from Ali Sajjad. Cummins then followed up by taking five for 32 with his off spin as Idle were dismissed for 162. Simon Curry was their top scorer with 35.
