 Division One

With Pudsey St Lawrence without a game, Bowling Old Lane seized the chance to reduce their lead to just four points.

Old Lane restricted Woodlands to 165-9, a score which owed much to the efforts of skipper Phil Walker and Zahir Hussain (33) , before easing to a six-wicket win.

Khalid Rehman (63no) and Mohammed Farooqi (60no) steered Old Lane to their victory target.

Baildon's first defeat at home to Cleckheaton by three wickets saw them drop from second to fourth place. For once their batsmen found the going tricky and were restricted to 147-8 thanks to the tight bowling of Stuart Houlbrook (4-30). Jonny Baines was the top scorer for Baildon with 31.

Joe Bowman (37no) and Shahid Rehman (31), helped ensure that Cleckheaton held off the threat of Matthew Reed (4-44) to win the match.

Bradford & Bingley's young batsman Michael Clarke his a sparkling 119 not out as he helped his side to a six-wicket win over Lightcliffe. Clarke hit three sixes and 15 fours as Bradford & Bingley surpassed a challenging Lightcliffe score of 231-7. Clarke received good support from Jacob Roach (43).

Lightcliffe built their total around the contributions of former Cleckheaton batsman Rhys Jowett (81) and skipper Gareth Stevens (44no). The best of the Bradford & Bingley bowlers were Michael Davies (3-37) and Clarke (3-58.

East Bierley finally registered their first win when they defeated Yeadon by two wickets. Teenage bowlers Jack Ormondroyd (4-36) and Oliver Ashford (4-40) set up the win by helping dismissed Yeadon for 184. Dave Machell (59) and John Carey (44) were the pick of the Yeadon batsmen.

East Bierley reached their victory target thanks to a fluent 70 from Thomas Owens and 33 from skipper John Davies. Matthew Yeadon (3-26) and Nick Darfield (3-53) were the pick of the bowlers.

Despite their win, East Bierley remain bottom although they are now just a point behind Pudsey Congs who went down by three wickets to Farsley. Matthew Green was the match-winner for Farsley with 82 while James Higgins chipped in with 33 as Farsley passed the Congs' score of 296-8. Imran Ahmed (66) top scored for Congs while Adam Walker (3-57) was the pick of the bowlers,

Hanging Heaton's batsmen seem to be running into form. Howard Ellis (44), Dave Lawrence (40), Chris Goodaire (38) and Michael Royce (38) steered their side to a five-wicket win over Morley at Bennett Lane. The visitors had made 204 all put batting first with Colin Nuthall making 66, Graham Roberts (36) and Tom Smith (30).

 

Division Two

Hartshead Moor pulled level with Gomersal at the top after picking up 19 points for an emphatic 150-run win at Manningham Mills.

Consistent batting from Jotham Barnett (56), Martin Ellis (41) and Ally Byrne (32no) enabled Hartshead Moor to compile a score of 215-7 despite the efforts of Waleed Khan (3-42).

Mills were skittled out for 65 as Martin Riley took four for 47 and Louis Brooke (3-8).

Gomersal had to be content with 15 points after proving too good for fifth-placed Undercliffe.

Ryan Kitson continued his excellent start to the season by taking five for 36 as he and Liam Grant (3-19) bowled out Undercliffe for just 115.

Stuart Donahoe (45) and James Tolson (39 no) sped Gomersal to a victory which keeps them on course for promotion.

Bankfoot lost ground in the promotion race after suffering a six-wicket defeat at home to Saltaire.

Bankfoot, despite 40 from Nick Gomersall, were dismissed for 101 as Yasir Qadim (5-25), and Michael Robinson 3-23) struck. , Michael Thornton was the mainstay of Saltaire's reply making and unbeaten 53.

There was delight at Cavendish Road where Idle finally secure their first win. Chiggy Patel (5-35) and Dave Pearce (4-30) bowled out Great Horton for 138, then Rohan Misra (36) and Greg Wilkinson (33no) saw them to their victory target.

Windhill's Lewis Dean took seven for 12 as they bowled out Brighouse for 97 to clinch a 38-run win. James Curtis (34) was the only Brighouse batsman to make an impression.

Chris Hopwood (35) top scored for Windhill in their total of 135. Mohammed Mukadas (3-34) and Kamran Khan (3-19) were the best of the bowlers.

Keighley secured victory over Spen Victoria in the final over. Scott Hartley (60), Nathan Barrett (46no) and Liam Dyson (33) led the well-judged run chase as Keighley chase down Spen Victoria's total of 199-8 which features 63 from John Ireland and 33 from Mick Fell.
