Good Evan's the star turn as Lightcliffe set the pace

Division One

Newly-promoted Lightcliffe made it three wins out of three as they continue to set the pace .

Their latest success was a six-wicket win at Yeadon which was set up by a fine spell of six for 36 by Evan Edwards and some consistent batting from David Knight (64), Gareth Stevens (52) and Richard Thompson (49).

Yeadon, still searching for their first win, made 194 all out batting first with skipper Andrew Pickering making 58, James Riley (47) and Ryan Mooney (42), but Lightcliffe eased past their score with 7.1 overs to spare.

Morley moved in to second place after defeating another side without a victory - East Bierley scoring game.

Morley's impressive 14-year-old left-hander James McNichol again impressed with an unbeaten 85, while Naveed Siddique (45) and Richard Winn (34) helped swell the Morley total to 253-8.

East Bierley made a spirited reply of 237 all out with Leigh Abbott top scoring with 42.

Champions Pudsey St Lawrence proved too good for Woodlands as they ran out comfortable 47-run winners. Lee Mortimer (62), Chris Hester (51no) and James Milligan (35) helped St Lawrence make 202-8 before restricting Woodlands to 155-6. Adam Goldthorpe made 48 for Woodlands.

Chris Dobson's (63) helped Cleckheaton to defeat Hanging Heaton by two wickets to claim third place. Peter Byrne (4-27) and Umar Rehman (3-47) tried to make life hard for Cleckheaton but they scraped past Hanging Heaton's score of 150 all out. Chris Goodair made an unbeaten 65 while teenage bowler Shahid Rehman took three for 47 for Cleckheaton.

Bottom team Pudsey Congs were skittled out for 100 as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat at Bowling Old Lane. Asib Younis took four for 27 as Congs were dismissed cheaply despite the efforts of Gary Lewsley (31). Old Lane eased to their victory target with Fazal Hussain making an unbeaten 51.

Farsley proved too good for newly-promoted Bradford & Bingley. Matthew Green hit 67 as Farsley eased to a three-wicket win at Red Lane after dismissing the visitors for 143. Michael Davies made 41 not out for Bingley and took three for 26 in the Farsley innings.

Division Two

Great Horton and Hartshead Moor are setting the pace. Great Horton defeated Keighley by four wickets while Hartshead Moor were made to work hard for their seven-run win over Saltaire.

Amar Najeeb (5-33) set up Great Horton's win as Keighley were bowled out for 98. Despite a few nervous moments, Great Horton eased to their target.

Hartshead Moor were involved in a high-scoring encounter. They batted first and made 222-9 with Nicky Ward just missing out on a century with 98. Liam Evans chipped in with 37 as Muhammad Samiulla (5-63) kept plugging away for Saltaire.

Evans also made a decisive impact with the ball. He took five for 38 as Moor just held off a strong Saltaire run chase led by Amarpaul Sari (71) and Mohammad Waqas (57).

Gomersal skipper Chris Rhodes took four for 20 as his side defeated Spen Victoria by 53 runs. The visitors were dismissed for 83 in reply to Gomersal's modest 136 all out Craig Lightowler (48) was the top scorer for Gomersal while Fezal Rajput (5-28) was the pick of the Spen bowlers.

Hamza Khan (5-10) bowled Manningham Mills to a 77-run win over Brighouse. Mills made 136 all out thanks largely to Mohammad Siddique (51) and then skittled their opponents out for 59.

Bankfoot skipper Paul Ellis hit 93 as his side defeated Windhill by 75 runs. Ellis defied the efforts of Ryan Holdsworth (5-24) to lead his side to a total of 144. Windhill perished for 69 in reply as Craig Ignatowski took six for 26 and Wayne Robinson (4-39).

Undercliffe compiled the highest score in Division Two. They made 247-7 against Idle with Craig Smith (61), Sam Brookes (51) and Jack Carter (41) leading the way. Old warhorse Dave Pearce took four for 63 for Idle.

When Idle replied they were bowled out for 108 with Zarak Khan picking up five for 18.
