New figures produced by records secretary Michael Rhodes show that two current players have taken more than 1,000 wickets in second team cricket.
Windhill's Dave Pearce leads the way with 1,053 at 14.05 runs apiece while Hanging Heaton's Peter Byrne is close behind with 1,031 at 18.55 runs apiece. Pearce pass the 1,000 mark last season when he claimed 69 wickets
In the batting charts Pudsey Congs' Phil Allinson has been the most prolific with 9,726 runs for an average of 34.13.
Michael Rhodes says: "The figures include players who have had a qualifying average in any of the seasons since 1999.
"Unfortunately I do no have information going further back but if anybody can help with additional information about second team cricket I would be glad to hear from them to further build up our records.
"I hope that these figures create a bit of interest and in the future I hope we can develop even better second team records."
