Holders Pudsey St Lawrence secured their first win in this season's competition when they beat near-neighbours Pudsey Congs by seven wickets on Sunday.

Congs, who went into the match as the unbeaten leaders of Group Three, were dismissed for 137 as Mark Robertshaw took five for seven with his off spin. Gareth Phillips (39) and Adam Patel (35) were the only batsmen to make their mark .

St Lawrence raced to victory in 14 overs with young left-hander David Hester making an unbeaten 74.

Yeadon opened their Group Four programme with a five-wicket win at Bankfoot. Sri Lankan Tharanga De Silva (43) and David Machell (36) guided their side past Bankfoot's score of 172-9. Greg Fotheringham (37) and Craig Johnston (33) were Bankfoot's top scorers while Carl Heptinstall was the pick of Yeadon's bowlers with three for 34.

Bradford & Bingley, last season's losing finalists, moved a step closer to clinching a quarter-final place with a four-wicket win at Keighley. Simon Bailey's 67 in a Keighley total of 118 was the highlight of the match.

Sri Lankan Naveed Gharni (45) and skipper Phil Slater (35no) saw Bradford & Bingley to their target in 16 overs.

Hanging Heaton are on course for a place in the last eight after recording a four-wicket win at Morley - their third successive win.

They looked in danger of suffering a first defeat when they slipped to 70-6 in reply to Morley's 119-8 as Richard Winn took three for 21, but Michael Smith (36no) kept his nerve to steer them home. Andy Hayward and Nathan Bromby both made 33 for Morley who were kept in check by Chris Goodair (3-15) and Mark Inwood (3-11)

Hanging Heaton top the table on runs difference from east Bierley who were awarded a win when opponents Cleckheaton were unable to raise a side.

Hartshead Moor's first win came at Brighouse where they defeated the home team by 59 runs despite as fine all-round performance from Saj Ali who took three for 26 and made 89 not out with five sixes and six fours. Craig Field (46) and Martin Ellis (36) were the main scorers for Moor as they made 197-7.
