Division One

There simply no stopping Farsley's Jamaican all-rounder Lorenzo Ingram.

He took 4-43 and followed up with an unbeaten 90 as Farsley defeated leaders Hanging Heaton by eight wickets to take over at the top.

Ingram has now scored 368 runs in three innings this season without being out.

He also showed how effective he can be with his spin bowling. He backed up the tireless work of Chris Henry (4-47) as Hanging Heaton were dismissed for 178.

Imran Dawood (40) and former Farsley player Mark Lawson (38no) were the only batsmen to make an impression for Hanging Heaton.

When Farsley replied they cruised to victory with 14.2 overs to spare. Ingram stroked 17 fours as he dominated an unbroken third-wicket stand of 152 with skipper Ian Philliskirk (37no).

Farsley are one point ahead on Pudsey St Lawrence who have also won all their three matches. They were steered to a five-wicket win over Baildon by their new opening batsman Adam Waite.

The former Guiseley player struck a six and 17 fours. he also shared in an opening stand of 101 with Mark Robertshaw (64) which provided the perfect foundation for the successful pursuit of Baildon's 249-7. Opener Jonny Reynolds top scored with 63 while off-spinner Steve Watts (4-68) proved to be St Lawrence's most effective bowler,

The surprise of the day came at Oxford Road where Gomersal inflicted a second-successive defeat on champions Pudsey Congs.

Their teenage opener Andy Gorrod made an unbeaten 111, an innings which contained two sixes and 15 fours, as Gomersal recovered from 27-3 to make 196-8. Former Farsley player Shabbir Rashid (42) shared a fourth-wicket stand of 106 with Gorrod.

Paceman Muhammad Naved (6-52) bowled well for Congs, but the match-winning bowling performance came from the Gomersal left-arm spinner Ben Platt. He found the dry pitch to his liking and took 6-42 as Congs crumbled to 129 all out.

If you want exciting finishes then Manningham Mills are the team to watch. After losing their first match to Hanging Heaton by one wicket, they tied at Undercliffe in their second and beat Cleckheaton by one run in their third.

Cleckheaton, who have now lost all three of their matches, needed 13 runs from the final over to overhaul the Manningham Mills total of 216-8. They looked on course for victory when they reduced the target to two with two balls left, but Mills hit back.

James Robinson was run out and from Zeeshan Qasim's final ball Ian Nicholson was caught by overseas player Imran Khalid for 35.

Mark Cummins (60), John Wood (48 and Tim Jackson (38) were the other main contributors for Cleckheaton while Qasim was the pick of the Mills bowlers with 4-35.

Mills were indebted to Massod Ahmed (61), Farakh Hussain (50) and Iqbal Khan (45no) for the bulk of their runs.

Oliver Halliday smashed four sixes and five fours in a lively knock of 56, while evergreen skipper James Goldthorp made 47 despite the determined efforts of Alex Stead (4-60)
