Saltaire go top as Quinlan hits Lightcliffe for six

Fahid Rehman hit an unbeaten 102 as Saltaire took over as the new leaders of Division Two with a 166-run win over Bankfoot.

Rehman hit 17 fours and was supported by Javed Umarji (42) and Muhammad Saeed (34) as Saltaire posted a total of 208-4.

Mansha Khan (5-14) and Matt Simpson (3-25) then bowled out Bankfoot for just 42.

Saltaire capitalised on a surprise four-wicket defeat for long-time leaders Lightcliffe at Keighley.

Paul Quinlan hit two sixes in the final over from Chris Greenwood to seal Keighley’s win.

Chris Taylor again top scored for Lightcliffe with 53 as they made 157-7 in their 25 overs. Freddy Pearson (48) set Keighley on course for their victory.

It has been a disappointing weekend for Lightcliffe who were involved in a tie with Yeadon on Saturday, while Saltaire have gathered 37 points from two victories

Bowling Old Lane edged out Yeadon by one wicket to move into third place. They bowled out Yeadon for 94 with Mubtada Akhtar (3-23), Zubair Najeeb (3-27) exploiting the conditions.

Old Lane didn't find batting any easier and needed 45 from Raqeeb Younis to squeeze home. Off spinner Damon Gormley was again among the wickets, taking 4-13 and was supported by Mahmood Rasool (3-22).

Brighouse v Windhill, Great Horton v Idle and Spen Victoria v Hartshead Moor were all abandoned without a ball being bowled.
