Congs - who had lost first place yesterday when their match at Saltaire was rained off - defeated Spen Victoria by eight wickets.
Liam Stanhope (4-32) and Callum Oliver (3-35) restricted Spen Victoria to 116-8. Chris Allen (36) was top scorer.
Congs eased to their victory target with Imran Ahmed hitting an unbeaten 83 and Ashley Slater (30no).
Congs are now six points ahead of East Bierley with Gomersal a further eight points back.
Veteran opener Javed Iqbal made a fine century as Manningham Mills defeated Brighouse by seven wickets.
He received strong support from Shoaib Iqbal (73) as Mills overhauled a Brighouse score of 255 to bag a maximum 20 points.
Chris Maloney (97) and John Potkins (55) dominated the Brighouse innings and they had to combat some good bowling from Waleed Khan (5-48).

Leg-spinner Mushy Shah took 6-41 as Idle secured a 16-run win over Undercliffe. His fine bowling enabled Idle to dismiss their rivals for 139 in reply to their score of 155-6. Jack Carter (47) was Undercliffe's top scorer. Chirag Patel (40no) and Andrew Masheder (32) were the main contributors for Idle. |
