Holders Yeadon made it safely through to the last eight with a 22-run win over an East Bierley side that has enjoyed tremendous success in the competition in recent years.
Skipper Andrew Pickering led the way for Yeadon by hammering 58 as he and Nick Hudson (34) provided the impetus for Yeadon to score 169-6 in their 25 overs as all the eight ties were reduced in length after rain forced delayed starts everywhere.
John Davies (36) top scored for East Bierley who lost wickets in the pursuit of quick runs and were dismissed for 147 as the impressive Paul Machell took 3-9.
Last season's beaten finalists Baildon, hoping to go one better this time, had little trouble defeating Brighouse by nine wickets. Spinner Jamie Abbott took 5-3 as Brighouse were dismissed for 70. Skipper Chris Maloney (41) was the only Brighouse batsman to make an impression.
Wicketkeeper Darren Wilson hit an unbeaten 37 to steer Baildon through to their
nine-wicket win.
Gomersal could be dark horses to win the competition. Former New Zealand Test player Tony Blain (62) and Richard Gould (46no) carried them to an eight-wicket win at home to Keighley. Callum Jones made the top score of 46 in the Keighley innings while Chris Rhodes (3-22) was the pick of the Gomersal bowlers,
Skipper James Milligan made an unbeaten 57 to steer Pudsey St Lawrence to a six-wicket win at Idle. The home side were restricted to 103-8 in their 25 overs with spinner Adam Hopkins taking 4-16.
Another captain making runs was Pudsey Congs's Callum Oliver. He hit 62 and was supported by Keegan Moodley (45) as his side posted a total of 159-5 in 22 overs before dismissing Undercliffe's for 65. Josh Purser impressed with 4-19 and was supported by Wasim Bashir (3-12)
Division Two side Cleckheaton defeated Woodlands by 25 runs. Chris Dobson (40), Jai Mistry (40) and Shahid Rehman (39) helped their side total 176-9 despite the efforts of Danish Hussain
(4-36). Rehman rounded off a good all-round performance by taking 4-9 as he and skipper Stuart Houlbrook (3-46) helped bowl out Woodlands for 151.
Evergreen Mick Baldwin is proving a valuable addition to the Hartshead Moor side. He made 75 to help steer them into the quarter finals with a 42-run win at Bankfoot.
Nicky Ward (31) gave good support to Baldwin then Lawrence Brooke (3-14) and Andy Waudby (3-20) impressed as Bankfoot were bowled out for 123.
Veteran opener Javed Iqbal showed there is no substitute for experience as he made 76 to help Manningham Mills to a 70-run win over Windhill. Amar Yaqub (51) was also in fine form. Windhill were dismissed for 146 with Tahir Amin making their top score of 56.
