| Gary Fellows made 142 not out |
Wrenthorpe skipper Gary Fellows produced a superb innings to steer his side into their first Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy.
The former Yorkshire all-rounder made an unbeaten 141 as the Solly Sports Central Yorkshire League champions defeated the 2009 winners York by seven wickets at Clifton Park.
It was an impressive performance by the prolific Fellows as he stroked a six and 20 fours in an innings which enabled his side to overhaul a York score of 252-6 with 7.2 overs to spare.
Luke Patel (36), David Paynter (25) and Oliver Whittaker (23no) all gave support to Fellows as he dominated the York attack.
The Solly Sports Yorkshire League champions tried eight bowlers but Fellows defied all their attempts to remove him.
Former Cleckheaton leg-spinner Tom Pringle was the most successful York bowler with 2-44.
York's total of 252-6 was based around three contributions. Nick Kay (75no) led the way with Oliver Hairs (47) and Tom Pringle (47no) in support.
Tom Glover (2-35) was the pick of a hard-working Wrenthorpe attack who played their part, but there was no doubting that the real hero was Fellows once again.
Wrenthorpe will now have to wait until July 24 to learn who their final opponents will be. They will face the winners of the semi-final between the JCT600 Bradford League champions Pudsey Congs and the Ben Bailey Homes South Yorkshire League title winners Whitley Hall.
