| Farsley's new scoreboard |
Clubs have been hard at work sprucing up their grounds and improving their facilities as part of CricketForce 2011.
At Farsley the main focus of the club's efforts was the completion of their new electronic scorebox.
The work actually started back in September when the dilapidated 80-year-old scorebox was demolished.
Members then went to work laying electronic cables and digging footings, but bad weather forced them to call a halt at the end of November.
It resumed in early February with the club's resident brickie Peter Scott supervising the construction of the new scorebox.
The scoreboard and its electronic controls were installed during CricketForce weekend when club members also tackled a general clean up of the ground.
Club secretary Nigel Thornton said: "We are delighted with the new scorebox which is further evidence of our determination to improve facilities at Red Lane.
"There was a lot of hard work involved, now we have to think of a project for next year."
