Robinson is now league's top scoring batsman

Richard Robinson became the JCT600 Bradford League's all-time leading runscorer as he he helped Keighley to a thrilling last-ball win at Spen Victoria.

The left-handed opener went into the match needing ten runs to beat Mark Gilliver's record of 15,908 and he went to the top of the runscorers' list by making 14.

The 40-year-old, who has given loyal service to Baildon and Keighley, can now eye-up the propect of becoming the only player to make 16,000 runs as he

Robinson's landmark was later overshadowed by a thrilling finish which saw Keighley scramble a leg bye from the final ball to pass Spen Victroria's score of 182-5 and snatch a two-wicket win.

Steve Reape (33), Imran Patel (32) and Jonathan Wilkinson (32) made important contributions but the ninth-wicket pair of skipper Ross Towler and Paul Quinlan were left needing five from Rob Burton's final over.

Wicketkeeper Matt Garside took advantage of his promotion to opener by making 51 for Spen Victoria, while George Deegan (48no), Rob Burton (32no) and Tosh Baker (31) were their other main scorers

Lightcliffe and Saltaire hold the two promotion positions at the halfway point in the season.

Lightcliffe defeated third-placed Great Horton by76 runs and Saltaire defeated Windhill by 146 runs.

And there is now a clear gap between the top two and the chasing pack following the latest round of games.

Lightcliffe are 26 points ahead of Saltaire who are now 25 points clear of their nearest challengers, Great Horton.

After Saturday's nail-biting win at Bankfoot, Lightcliffe found the going far easier against Great Horton.

Their powerful top-order batting showed its strengths as Chris Taylor (81), Alex Stead (50) and Jonathan Wilson (42) guided their side to a total of 215-6 despite the efforts of Altaf Mohammad (3-68).

Great Horton skipper Khalid Mehmood made a spirited 55 but the rest of his sides's batting petered out as they were dismissed for 139. Young Evan Edwards took 4-45 and Chris Greenwood (3-23) as Lightcliffe wrapped up another 19 points.

Saltaire went one better. They collected a maximum 20 point as they overpowered struggling Windhill by 148 runs.

Saltaire's new signing Azhar Sharif has already experienced the extremes of Bradford League fortunes. He was run out without scoring on his debut on Saturday, but bounced back with 40 and 6-33 against Windhill 24 hours later.

Saltaire piled up the day's top score of 309-4 with Fahid Rehamn continuing his good form with 92 while Farhan Khan (55) and Tinashe Gomwe (50) helped themselves to half centuries.

Windhill lost wickets regularly and only Jack Holland (55) and Sajid Hussain (31) offered prolonged resistance as paceman Matthew Simpson (3-52) and Sharif went to work.

Craig Field struck the day's only century as Hartshead Moor ended Yeadon's winning run with a six-wicket win. Field struck two sixes and 17 fours and shared in a second-wicket stand of 144 with Reece Jennison (59) as Hartshead Moor romped pass Yeadon's score of 201 in just 28.5 overs.

Oliver Halliday (54) was the top scorer for Yeadon who lost a flurry of late wickets as Danny Squire took 4-22
