Hanging Heaton clinched top spot in Group Four by defeating East Bierley to clinch a home tie in the quarter-finals.
They won by 11 runs and that was sufficient for them to pip East Bierley for first place on runs difference.
East Bierley, who also had five wins, also qualified for the quarter finals and will visit Bradford & Bingley on Sunday, August 14.
Joe Fraser, who recently hit a competition record score of 133 not out against Bankfoot, was again Hanging Heaton's key performer.
Fraser made 73 as he and Nick Bresnan (38)— brother of England and Yorkshire star Tim — revived their side after they had slumped to 24-4.
Hanging Heaton's total of 168-7 proved just too many for East Bierley to chase in fading light.
They made a brave bid to challenge Hanging Heaton's score with Muhammad Azhar Ullah (63no), Kez Ahmed (49) and Matt Anderson (31no) all trying to force the pace. |
