Cleckheaton are through to their first Dyson Insulations Twenty/20 Cup final after a comprehensive 77-run win over Baildon at Wagon Lane, last night.
They will now face the winners of tonight's heavyweight clash between Bradford & Bingley and Hanging Heaton in Thursday's final.
Put in to bat, Cleckheaton lost John Wood in the first over from Mubasher Khan and were 35-3 at one point as Tim Jackson holed out off Brett Kinsey and James Lee was needlessly run out for 17.
Mally Nicholson led the revival with an impressive 55 from 26 balls which contained five sixes and three fours.
He was well supported by skipper Marcus Walmley who went on to make an unbeaten 66 from 48 balls with a six and seven fours.
Ian Nicholson (33no) provided a late flourish as Cleckheaton reached 200-4 in their 20 overs.
Baildon, who kept faith with the predominently second team line up that got them this far, struggled in reply.
Opener Inzy Mahmood hit a huge six in James Lee's opening over but it was one of the few acts of genuine aggression as Baildon meandered to 123-8.
Spinner Andrew Deegan, whoopened the bowling, took 3-12 as Cleckheaton sealed their final place.
