Ton -up Wood chops down Gomersal

Cleckheaton skipper John Wood hit the third highest score in the history of the Dyson Insulations Twenty/20 Cup as his side scored an emphatic 171-run win over Gomersal in Group Three.

Wood struck ten sixes and 12 fours as he made 123 off just 46 balls to help Cleckheaton toa total of 255-7 in their 20 overs. The next highest scorer was Marcus Walmsley with 29. Ryan Kitson proved to be Cleckheaton's most successful bowler with 5-35

Gomersal were dismissed for just 84 with Craig Lightowler (39) the only batsman to make an impression. Shahid Rehman (4-20) was the pick of the Cleckheaton bowlers.
