Clubs staging first round Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup and Shield games are reminded that they must mark a 30 yard fielding circle on their ground for Sunday's ties. Failure to do so will result in them forfeiting the match.
The Management Board announced last night that if the circle is not marked out the umpires will instruct the home club to do so. They will be given up to 30 minutes after the set start time of 1pm to complete the task.
If they fail to meet the deadline the match will be abandoned at 1.30pm and the tie awarded to the away side.
The 30 yard fielding circle was voted in as a regulation for the cup and shield at the 2005 agm. The Management Board has warned clubs that no match can take place without a properly marked 30 yard fielding circle.
