3 Co-option of new member: Website editor Alan Birkinshaw was unanimously elected to join the committee.
4 Issues arising from the second round:
Heavy Woollen Cup: Liversedge and Gomersal ordered to have a bowl out on Thursday, May 17.
The outstanding ties: Barnsley v Doncaster, Clayton West v Esholt and Wickersley v Birstall must be played on Sunday, May 20. If no play is possible a bowl out will be conducted. The Management Committee will not extend the seven day period specified in the rules for the staging of matches not played on the original date.
Woodlands v Methley: Methley have indicated to the Management Committee that they will be conceding the tie as they have a Cockpur Cup tie against Loughborough on May 20.
Results: The results of the Heavy Woollen Cup tie between Golcar and Carlton and the Crowther Cup tie between Shelley and Idle which were determined by a toss of a coin agreed by the captains was ratified by the Management Committee.
Crowther Cup: Farsley and Carlton ordered to stage a bowl out on Thursday.
Directive for third round: The Management Committee agreed unanimously that should the umpires, who are the sole judges of the fitness of the ground for a bowl out deem that conditions are too dangerous to put the safety of the players at risk, a toss of a coin will be used to determine the winners.
Withdrawals: Wath and Armitage Bridge who withdrew from Heavy Woollen Cup ties against Idle and Delph & Dobcross respectively will be fined £30 each for non fulfilment of a fixture, pay £56 for two umpires fees and £25 for teas. This makes a total of £111. Both clubs will have to apply for readmission to the competition.
5 Third round draws:
Heavy Woollen Cup: Wakefield St Michaels v Delph & Dobcross, Wickersley v New Farnley, Rockingham v Townville, Esholt v Golcar, Wrenthorpe v Barnsley, Yeadon v Saltaire, Gomersal v Idle, Woodlands v Undercliffe. Ties to be played June 10, 1pm starts.
Crowther Cup: Mirfield PC v Liversedge, Skelmanthorpe v Baildon, Keighley v Wrenthorpe, Scholes (CYL) v Woodlands, Spen Victoria v Barkisland, Saltaire v Farsley, Birstall v Wakefield St Michael's.
6 Emergency Committee: In view of the problems which cropped up in the second round it was agreed that a panel of four members David Sharp (President), Benny Hemming (Secretary), Ron Tindall (Fixture Secretary) and Alan Birkinshaw be formed to deal quickly with any disputes or issues arising from future ties.
7 Competition Rules: It was agreed that the problems in the first two rounds had underlined the need for a thorough review of the rule book. David Sharp (President) and Alan Birkinshaw asked to review existing rules and report back to the next Management Meeting on June 12 when the fourth round draws will be made.
8 Final venues: It was unanimously agreed that Liversedge would stage the Heavy Woollen Cup final and Morley the Crowther Cup final.
