A discussion took place on the procedures for appointing umpires and who was involved. It was agreed that these should be brought to committee for approval in future before they are notified.

8 Match balls:
The Umpires Appointment Secretary pointed out that some clubs were still not using the right match balls. The Fixture Secretary pointed out that he had received a number of complaints about their quality. It was suggested that clubs should provide proof of problems by submitting balls for examination after use. This could then be raised with Solly Adam.

9 Rule changes: Alan Birkinshaw produced a draft document outlining the changes suggested by the working group. It will be the main topic of discussion at the meeting on July 10.

A number of points raised were to be included in the draft document. These included:

2 That a new ball be used in all Crowther Cup games.

3 That umpires fees should be increased to £30

Date of next meeting: Tuesday, July 10.

Competition Rules: It was agreed that the problems in the first two rounds had underlined the need for a thorough review of the rule book. David Sharp (President) and Alan Birkinshaw asked to review existing rules and report back to the next Management Meeting on June 12 when the fourth round draws will be made.

Final venues: It was unanimously agreed that Liversedge would stage the Heavy Woollen Cup final and Morley the Crowther Cup final.
