Holders Barnsley face a tough test in second round

Posted: April 23, 2007

Holders Barnsley face a tough away game against the JCT 600 Bradford League second team champions Woodlands in the second round of the Solly Sports Crowther Cup.

And the tie will be played on May 20, seven days after the remainder of the round, because Woodlands have also be drawn at home in the Heavy Woollen Cup to Methley.

It was the top tie in a draw which also gives last season's runners up Wakefield St Michael's a home clash with arch-rivals Wakefield City.

The 2005 winners Gomersal are at home to Drakes Huddersfield League side Golcar, while Townville visit Spen Victoria - the scene of their 2004 final triumph over East Bierley.

The winners of the delayed first round tie between Shepley and Carlton, due to be played on Sunday, will visit Farsley.
