Crowther Cup

CC1 Title and Constitution

A The competition shall be called the Crowther Cup (the competition) and be an annual knockout event open to the second elevens of cricket clubs taking part in the Heavy Woollen District Challenge Cup (HW Cup).

B Except as hereinafter provided the Competition Rules shall be the same as those for the HW Cup.

CC2 Subscriptions

A All clubs entering this competition shall pay an annual subscription of £10 in addition to that paid under rule HW4(a).

CC3 Player Qualification:

A A player shall not be eligible to play in the first two rounds if he has played in more than two matches with the first eleven during the season. Thereafter a player shall be eligible to play provided that he has played more gamed for his club's second eleven than the first eleven. In the case of a player transferred during the season, game for his previous club(s) shall be counted as if for his current club.

B Matches played in senior local leagues, and the knockout competitions of these leagues shall be used for the purposes of qualification for this rule.

C Professionals are not eligible under any circumstances to take part in this competition.

CC4 Match Procedures

A Admission fees shall be half those charged for the HW Cup.

B Rule HW7(e) shall apply with regard the provision of a ball but for this competition it need not be a new one.
