Central Yorkshire League champions Wrenthorpe will tackle South Yorkshire League side Wickersley in this season's Solly Sports Heavy Woollen Cup final.
Both sides are competing in the final for the first time and they both came through their semi-finals with considerable ease.
Everybody had been hoping that Wrenthorpe's tie with their arch-rivals Townville would be a cracking encounter, but it turned out to be a very one-sided affair.
Wrenthorpe dismissed Townville for just 56 with skipper Kevin Watson taking three for six and Gary Fellows (3-29).
Wrenthorpe cruised home for the loss of two wickets with David Paynter top scoring with 33.
Wickersley, who are competing in the competition for the first time, beat the Bradford League's last survivors Idle by 81 runs.
Wickersley made 192-8 with H Jahangir making 97 and then dismissed Idle for 111. A Harrison took three for 29 and G Higgins (3-31). |
