On a damp green wicket in a game reduced to 36 overs a side it was important to win the toss which Gavin Lyons did and put Bankfoot into bat.
With a good all round bowling and fielding performance, they were restricted to 102 all out, the pick of the bowlers being Paul Howker (4-24), Neil Johnson (3-13) and Gareth Teasdale (3-18). In reply, after a few early scares and let offs to the skipper,Idle cantered home with Mick Birts (53 no) and Gavin Lyons (41 no), winning by 10 wickets, with 13 overs to spare.
