Idle chatter ....................................................
It's back to action for the players
After a long winter of dark nights and reality TV it's great to be back out in the summer nights enjoying the start of the cricket season.
The senior teams have friendlies against Thackley and these take place on Saturday for the first team at Thackley and Sunday for the second team at Idle, so please come along and support the lads whilst they blow their cob webs off and get back to the feel of putting on the whites and running off those excess winter pounds.
The season starts proper the following week with the first team away to Pudsey St Lawrence and the second team, who will be lead by their new captain Graham Dobson at home to Hartshead Moor.
The following day, Sunday April 22, the first team are in action again away to Manningham Mills in the Heavy Woollen Cup whilst the second team get to rest their aching limbs as they have a 1st round bye in the Crowther Cup.
Junior cricket starts Sunday April 29 when the under-15s take on Allerton away and the under-13s take on Saltaire at home both commencing at 10am and then the attention turns to the newly formed under-17s when their campaign starts away at Windhill on Wednesday, May 2.
Please come along and give the juniors some much needed support.
