With Bolton Villas fielding a young side it turned out to be a one sided affair. Villas won the toss and elected to field.
A fter gaining an early wicket, Idle's strong batting line up came to the fore, totaling 128 for the loss of only five wickets. M Shah and T Johnson both had to retire after scoring 27 each.
With the commencement of the Villas innings, wickets fell at regular intervals. They were spread between all the bowlersas Villas were dismissed for 52. to give Idle a 76 run win.
Idle winning by 76 runs.
