In a game which started in damp conditions and light rain, it always looked as if it would be a low scoring game, with the bowlers on top, but how wrong could it be with a run feast in a truly exciting and nail biting game, with any result possible with 2 balls to go. Harden won the toss, (T Johnson being even worse that the second team captain in that department) and put us in. Idle lost the early wicket of their new Yorkshire selected U12's player for 4, but then with some steady batting from Misra (25) and Parratt (27) steady the ship. Then a partnership of 49 in 4.4 overs by Kemp (17) and T Johnson (21) saw Idle to a total of 110 for 2. In reply Harden started steadily, losing one early wicket, then Kemp came into the attach and bowled 3 tight overs collecting 2 wicket for 7 runs. Idle seemed to have the game won at this point, but with a couple of loose overs and some good batting Harden came back into the game and eventually needed 8 runs to win from the last over, which was bowled by Robinson, who held his nerve and conceded on 2 runs, giving Idle the victory.
