Idle's season got another boost on Saturday with a win over mid table Brighouse at Cavendish Road .
In a dramatic start to the game the visitors were reduced to 0-2 thanks to Idle old boy Mark Gilliver returning a catch to Dilhara and wicketkeeper Steve Thompson superbly stumping out Haroon Rashid.
Despite an excellent knock of 68 from overseas Rizwan Ahmed the visitors were bundled out for 116 thanks again to the swing of Andrew Marshall with figures of five for21 to follow up last week's four for four.
Once again the home side made hard work of knocking off the runs but a well crafted 48 fron Javed Umarji steered Idle to victory and a good haul of 15 points.
