Rehman and Maroof shine in Bradford victory |

The Bradford Junior League opened their account in this season's Joe Lumb Competition with a 30-run victory over East Yorkshire at Driffield. They owed their success to a good batting display in which Bowling Old Lane's Fahid Rehman (75) led the way. Saltaire's Tom Slater (49) and Spen Victoria's Dave Hester (43) also played crucial knocks as a score of 252 for six was built. Pudsey St Lawrence all-round Kasir Maroof had a fine game. He made 30 and followed up with four for 29 as East Yorkshire were restricted to 222 fo seven. Bradford are in action again this Sunday when they entertain Heavy Woollen at Undercliffe.
