4 Matters Arising
Suspect bowling action report: Manningham Mills sent another letter and they still have not replied. Asked for their answer in seven days.

Manningham Mills: Steve Raistrick and David Young visited re issues regarding metal and broken glass. Letter sent on July 2 requesting a number of urgent actions. They were asked to reply within seven days but failed to do so. Secretary to write again and a ground inspection will be carried out at their next home game on July 21. Mills replied to letter regarding ground issues. Said there was a dispute between the Sports Association and the developers over the damage to the outfield. Subsequent inspection confirmed the work had been carried out.

Michael Hope: Back in hospital for another operation.

Bankfoot letter: Questioning a fine over the eligibility of two players who are known under two separate names. The fine was withdrawn but club to be instructed to use only the name the player is registered under.

Prize Money for this season Cup and Shield: £500, £250, £125 £125 Shield: £200, £100, £50, £50

Handbooks: Made a slight profit.

6 Correspondence:
Simon Hicks: Replied to Management Board saying you have not answered my question regarding the eligibilty of Manningham Mills player Asif Hussain. Secretary instructed to reply again saying that the Management Board’s decision is final and binding.

Keighley CC: Club want permission to stage the Keighley Cup on September 9. This was arranged before the Shield was put back. Approval given.

Pudsey Congs: Independent Schools Under-13 Cup competition also on Shield day. Permission granted.

Reg Nelson: Letter regarding the White Rose Competition and his concerns regarding the Bradford League’s future in it. The Chief Executive will reply noting the board’s observations and they will discuss the matter further.

7 Priestley Cup
Man of the Match Adjudicator: John France
Guest list approved and rRaffle helper identified.

8 Priestley Shield
Final: Woodlands v East Bierley on September 9 at Undercliffe with Spen Victoria as the reserve ground. Noon. Man of the Match Adjudicator: Mick Illingworth

9 Disciplinary Matters:
James Pringle (Windhill ) banned one match and one match suspended. Chairman met him and he apologised for his actions. Was cautioned as to his future conduct

John Wood (Cleckheaton): After a frank discussion with the panel his apology was accepted and he was warned as to his future conduct.

Andrew Halford (Hartshead Moor 2nd team captain) at Cleckheaton July 14, Hartshead Moor suspended him for one match. Panel agreed punishment insufficient and suspended him for a total of four games inclusive of the original club ban of one match He was found guilty of breaching ECB Code of Conduct sections 1.12, 1.13, 1.14 and 1.15. He also breached Spirit of Cricket  sections 1.21- 1.25 and 1.26. The player was warned as to his future conduct.

Manningham Mills v Saltaire Disciplinary on August 29 at Undercliffe

Undercliffe 2nds v Manningham Mills: Graham Griffiths and Malcolm West reported that Sohail Khan (Undercliffe) bowled three beamers. No further action needed.
East Bierley v Cleckheaton: Umpires Tom Sayer and David Barnes reported a poorly prepared pitch at East Bierley. Secretary to write to East Bierley

10 Facilites Marking
Schedule needed from Rodney Heyhoe of what is required to be done.

11 Umpires
30 matches have had only one umpire compared with 90 last year. Three matches this weekend with one umpire. Training October 10 Undercliffe January 20 at Spen Victoria.

12 Rules Revision
Proposals need to be in by August 30.

13 Captains Meeting
Chairman reported on a positive session at Cleckheaton. It was confirmed that proposal from the captains can be made through the Player Representatives on the Management Board.

14 Annual Dinner
David Howes MC, Geoff Evans ex-First Class umpire is guest speaker, comedian Micky Gunn.

15 JCT 600 Players Player of the Year
Nominations received from captains.

16 Norwood Green
President, Chairman, CEO and Treasurer visited the club to review progress. The club officials said they felt there was no problem obtaining a lease, umpires facilities they were going to build will be a portable building. They are still awaiting planning permission. A visit to a forthcoming match and another meeting with officials was planned.

17 Any Other Business

Floodlit Twenty/20: A squad of 13 has been selected. Team manager Babar Butt to contact players before it is published on the website.

Change of address: The secretary reminded members that his new address is 58 Acres Hall Avenue, Pudsey, LS28 9EH. His phone number is unchanged but he won’t have an internet connection until August 29.

Manningham Mills v Baildon: Mick Illingworth reported that the wicket for the game was still being cut far too close to the start of the game. Rodney Heyhoe to be informed.
