Pudsey St Lawrence v Pudsey Congs

Once again these two deadly rivals meet in cup combat. Congs, bidding to win the trophy for a record-equaling third successive year, know they have a battle or their hands. Matthew Doidge's men will want to avenge their first league loss in seven years to St Lawrence which was brought about by a splendid innings of 142 from Gary Fellows. Since then both teams have had their share of problems. St Lawrence have lost three successive home league games to drop to fourth, while Congs have been beset by injuries. They will be hoping that paceman Mohammad Azhar-Ulla will return after a groin injury and that Mark Bray can comeback after a shoulder injury. Both missed the league wins over Farsley and Keighley. Saints are still without their injured left arm bowler Gary Severn so James Smith will again take the new ball. Smith and Fellows are two key men for St Lawrence. Both are potential match-winners and Congs know full well what they are capable of if they get the chance. Congs continue to rely on wise heads and experience to see them through tight situations. Babar Butt and skipper Matthew Doidge have broken St Lawrence hearts on many occasions in the past and it is hard to imagine them not having an impact on this match.
Men to watch: James Smith (Pudsey St Lawrence), Babar Butt (Pudsey Congs)

Woodlands v East Bierley

Murphy Walwyn, pictured, has played in a record 11 Priestley Cup finals and if he is to make it to a 12th this season his Woodlands team have to see off East Bierley who he made nine of those final appearmces for. Walwyn is part of a Woodlands side curently topping the Division One table and running into form nicely, but so to are rivals East Bierley. They have crept quietly into third place in the league table and are beginning to look serious contenders for silverware this season. East Bierley will be boosted by the return after suspension of off spinner Grant Soames. The match is finely balanced with big guns on either side. For Woodlands there's Safraz Ahmed, Richard Pyrah, Tim Orrell, Scott Richardson and Walwyn, while East Bierley have the batting power of John Proud, Richard Gould and Gavin Hamilton, plus the pace bowling of Jaffer Nazir and Paul Hutchinson. This will be a real battle and hard to predict.
Men to watch: Richard Pyrah (Woodlands), Jaffer Nazir (East Bierley)

Bowling Old Lane v Spen Victoria

If the only all Division Two quarter-final is as close fought as the league game between these two sides on the opening day of the season then spectators will be in for a nail-biting afternoon. Spen won the league game by one-wicket off the last ball, but Old Lane have shown the more consistent form since then and have have accounted for Division One sides Farsley and Idle. Spen will rely heavily on the bowling of Chris Elstub, pictured, who has been their outstanding performer this season, but Old Lane have batsmen like Malik Aftab, Mohammed Hanif and Raqib Younis who can turn a game.
Men to watch: Chris Elstub (Spen Victoria), Mohammed Hanif (Bowling Old Lane).

Manningham Mills v Hanging Heaton

As the only Division One side in the bottom half of the draw, Hanging Heaton are most people's favourites to reach their first final since losing to East Bierley by 68 runs in 2000. But Manningham Mills are going well in Division Two, they have a talented side and will be determined to show that they have the pedigree to play in the top flight next season. The key man for Hanging Heaton is former Yorkshire wicketkeeper Ismail Dawood while Sri Lankan Bandula Don has produced some explosive batting in recent weeks. Mills have to contain them if they are to spring a surprise. Mills also have some good batsmen of their own, including Amar Rashid who recently made his debut for the senior Bradford League side.
Men to watch: Amar Rashid (Manningham Mills), Ismail Dawood (Hanging heaton)
