Bradford & Bingley to stage final again

Bradford & Bingley have been invited to stage the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup for the third successive year.

The well-appointed Wagon Lane ground has proved to be a popular venue and drew praise from the competition sponsors Sovererign Health Care after the 2006 final between Woodlands and Bowling Old Lane.

The JCT 600 Bradford League Management Board took the decision at their last meeting. The final will be played on August 12, 2007 - two weeks earlier than in recent years.

The date switch was made after Chief Executive Bob Shackleton had received a number of requests from spectators and officials at this year's Priestley Cup final who felt the showpiece game should be played slightly earlier when light and weather conditions could be more favourable for the showpiece match.
